A Dra. Jane Cook está envolvida a muitos anos no estudo da patogênese e epidemiologia das doenças virais das aves, particularmente a Bronquite Infecciosa (BI), as infecções por Adenovírus (Incluindo EDS-76) e o Pnemovírus Aviário. Trabalhou na pesquisa e desenvolvimento de vacinas aviárias até sua aposentadoria, no ano 2000. Desde a sua aposentadoria, a Dra. Cook se mantém relacionada ao âmbito das doenças aviárias como consultora de diferentes organizações, ministrando palestras, escrevendo capítulos de livros e revisando artigos. Entre outras atividades, ela também é editora da revista Avian Pathology. |
